Country meet City + Canadian coats

· · · Comments

Ottawa is home to some real fashion blogger stars, including Kay and Lacey of Country meet City. These ladies fuse their city and country roots together to inspire their ever-growing following of readers with fun style.

A few weeks ago, they modelled some of the I carry, the Zip Coat by Jennifer Torosian and the now (sold out) Saga cardigan from Erdaine Knitwear. I was eager to see how they'd wear the otherwise simple, minimalist-style outerwear and spruce them up with their personal tastes.

One of my ongoing challenges is to pick clothing that is versatile enough to seamlessly fit into most peoples' wardrobes. It's not always easy, but choosing items that are simple in design certainly helps. Here's how the talented Country meet City fashionistas made these pieces their own.

Jennifer Torosian's Zip coat is made out of beautiful, European wool woven into a warm grey and red plaid. This is a spin on the pea coat with buttons swapped for a zipper but all the warmth of the traditional piece.

Erdaine's Saga cardigan is made out of extra fine, European merino wool. It's your go-to piece to wear over any shirt for extra warmth and style.

Both of these pieces are designed and made in Canada out of the highest quality European wool.
