Sustainable fashion in the news: 2016

Want to stay up-to-date on all things sustainable fashion? Try subscribing to Google news alerts. I use these daily emails to share relevant content with my followers on Twitter, and it's an easy way to stay in the know on the industry. Running a small business and juggling a full-time job is tough. I'm always trying to find ways to save time, and these Google alerts have helped by cutting hours out of media scanning.

Why do I bother scanning the news for sustainable fashion? Lots of reasons! It's a convenient way to discover new labels, to learn about new innovations in textile manufacturing or recycling fabric. Staying knowledgeable about an industry within which I run my business is also key to running the shop. Knowledge is power, after all, and it can help guide my purchases, inspire new blog posts to write for you, and inform me of what my peers are doing. Entrepreneurialism can be a lonely business, well, the one-person kind, so it's inspiring and helpful to read about what others in my line of work are doing.

And on that note, happy reading!
